CHWC: More Than a Food, Beverages and Entertainment Event!

I love to work with organizations who want to look at events and projects differently! I thoroughly enjoy managing the organized chaos of an event…and then…let’s take it just one step further and add another ring to the circus!

Community Housing of Wyandotte County is adding another ring to the circle…they are celebrating their 20th anniversary on Saturday, June 23 at Cathedral of St. Peter (11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.). It’s a time to celebrate the amazing accomplishments they have realized in the last 20 years…but it’s also a time to invest in the future and push that line of success just a little bit further.

What are they doing differently to celebrate? Yes, they will have food, beverages, entertainment and distractions for the children but, they are also taking their guests in the community and showing them first hand the progress. There is so much to be proud of and the best way to show them is to take them…yes, we are arranging for tours of the neighborhoods in Kansas City, KS. There are 7 neighborhoods the organization is focusing on and we’ll take tours of the neighborhoods that will also include before and after signage. We’ll have mini-buses, passenger vans, heck there might even be a trolley. There may be walking tour as well…there are a lot of ideas and options and we’re excited to show off the hard work and the projects yet to come.

Have you ever thought about what Kansas City, KS looked like before CHWC took on this revitalization process? It’s amazing the transformation and we want to show you first-hand what that looks like.

Anyone who is interested in history, rebuilding, investing and seeing progress needs to come out and check out the amazing work of this small but mighty organization! It won’t take long and it will inspire you!
